Founder
Lucky Mom to Noah, Cecily and Cason, Rachel founded and managed Cecily's Closet, a 501c3 servicing children with special for 15 years. Now she's working for her full-time boss, Cecily, with hopes of building a workability program for young adults with disabilities. When she's not Chief Pooper Scooper, she can be found in her office working as Fractional CMO building strategic Go-to-Market systems, content engines, and demand gen programs for B2B, B2C, and non-profit institutions.
Cecily Ackerly
The Boss
Cecily, born in 2009, is an advocate for all children, fun, fashion, and any animal she has ever met. When she's not busy bossing around her staff, you can find her cuddling with her herd or lounging with her horse books. She may be small, but she is one tough boss and she is committed to growing this barn to include goats, chickens, donkeys, and whatever else she can convince us to invest in!
Brien Ackerly
Co-founder
Brien co-founded Cecily's Closet with Rachel in 2010. When Rachel insisted we start a barn, Brien said no. And here we are! He is a converted horse lover, and provides the muscle power for any big barn projects. When he's not busy ensuring Cecily gets everything she wants, he's busy surfing with our boys, Noah and Cason, or working full-time at Scripps Health as AVP of Information Services.

Horse mom to Okey Dokey and trail -riding partner to Louis, our golden retriever, who has appointed himself official ride-along supervisor. I love all animals and believe they deserve to be spoiled with kindness, patience, and love. When I'm not at that barn, I'm a landscape architect, helping clients create beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy-- ideally with a four-legged friend nearby.
